The ride was beautiful - through lush English countryside! Green farmland in the country and little row houses in the villages with tiny backyards with little greenhouses or gardens. Got to see a small farm zip by - looked like something straight out of Beatrix Potter - with the ducks like Jemima in the front yard and little pens for the few sheep, pigs, and cows! Managed to get a quick snapshot of a castle with an English Heritage flag flying - somewhere between Craven Arms and Shropshire.
Got some reading done in the book: "One Thousand Gifts" by Ann Voskamp - Christian author - all about daring to live life to the fullest! And that it's found in daily 'eucharisteo' - thanksgiving. Beautiful.
Interesting what things you forget when you've been away for awhile: Royal Mail post offices; Town hall clocks; Rugby fields with 'H' goal posts; ACCENTS! goodness me! I overheard the following on the train: "U'll cum dun afta Hairuhfud then, a'ight?" Translation: I'll come down after Hereford then, alright? (the on lady worker on the train was talking to her companion - they were the ones that went through the cars selling drinks and snacks and things)
Thank you for praying for me today with the two meetings - one was in a church, and the other was at a home. Both went really, really (Su taught me the word in Welsh would be 'yawn' - rhymes with noun) well :) Lots of prayer cards were taken/handed out. I spoke with a British accent for the church but an American one for the home meeting - go figure :)
Paul praying over me as I 'go out' - out to the rest of my UK trip and out as I go to Haiti |
Everyone here is very kind - the Welsh are very open and warm people. At the home meeting I got hugs and kisses on the side of the cheek as hellos and goodbyes :) (from the women only that is! The men gave warm handshakes :D). The dinner at the Poloha's was amAzing! and such a good time of fellowship!

Thank you so much to everyone who is praying for me and for those of you who have given to my ministry for making this trip a reality! I am truly blessed to be here. Jet-lag has not gotten to me - yet. I have managed to stay up til at least 11pm since I arrived and actually now, glancing at the clock it's already past midnight!
